True Memorial Baptist Church has a long history of supporting the work of missions around the world. We are currently partnering with19 different missionaries and missionary organizations to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and participate in the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Missionaries we support are on college campuses all the way to running hospitals in the jungle of Honduras. Overseas the goal is to create disciples to reach their own communities. Updates from missionaries are printed in the weekly prayer sheet found in the foyer of the church. Generally, we do not post updates online, because many are witnessing in areas where it is forbidden to share the Gospel.
Faith Promises
True Memorial Baptist Church uses Faith Promises to support our missionaries and missionary organizations throughout the world, for a list please see the Annual Report (or contact the office for a copy).
What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is an agreement we make with God, and only God, to give to Missions. It is a promise because of the commitment to provide a certain amount over a specific time period (usually a year) for Missions. It requires faith because we are trusting God to provide these funds in various ways.
By letting the Missions team anonymously know how much you would like to pledge for the year, they can then commit to give funds to missionaries and missionary organizations monthly
