“Apologetics” is from the Greek word meaning “speaking in defense.” Christian apologetics is the discipline of defending what we know to be true using what is true: God’s Word.
Below are excerpts from Mama Bear Apologetics, Empowering Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies.:
Protecting our kids may mean sheltering them for a time. But that can only be a short-term solution.
As believers, we know we are to build on the foundational rock of Christ (Matthew 7). But there’s a growing trend of people confusing their feelings about Jesus for Jesus Himself.
Our kids need something that doesn’t change, which is the immovable, absolute truth of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. We MUST teach them who Jesus is.
There is a fundamental difference between teaching our kids to base their spiritual foundation on the experience of Jesus and basing it on Jesus.
No matter how awkward it might be, we’ve got to actually PREPARE our kids for what they’ll encounter in the world, so they aren’t left unprotected in the future.
After prayer, you are invited to stay for coffee and fellowship.
